Lightest sun hoodie I’ve owned. I run, ruck and hike in the San Bernardino foothills where temperatures reach above 90 degrees regularly. Sun protection, insect protection and evaporative cooling is better than anything I’ve owned. I’m a fan.

This sun hoodie is very good for the price. It is very breathable and extraordinarily thin. It breaths well for a synthetic material and it blocks the sun as its intended very well in full sunlight.

I was excited to get your catalog and was dismayed when I went through it. Almost all the photos are of young or middle aged white men. Is that your preferred demographic?
I counted about 32 photos of white guys, 2 photos of white women and a few other photos that were indeterminate or just hands or silhouettes.
It really put me off your brand. You probably don't care - but I do care that everyone, men women, children, of all races are encouraged to go out and enjoy this beautiful world and nature.

Loved the photos and details of the products. I've seen companies use AI for their equipment, and it's a huge turn off for me. Seeing the owner and others actively using gear builds more confidence in what I'm purchasing.

Gotta say that this puffy jacket was perfect for my trip to Yellowstone in June. — cold mornings meant needing several layers. By afternoon I rolled jacket up and stuck in backpack with no extra weight! Roomy pockets on outside, two deep pockets in inside of jacket. Hood stays on my head and doesn’t distort my sight with it on. I’m a female and ordered a men’s Small.

The product catalog clearly lays out all that Outdoor Vitals offers. It is just more evidence that they continue to head in the right direction. Well done.

Excellent sun shirt! This is super light. I wore this on 2 long trail runs (8+hours each) and loved it!
The hood is nice to channel the breeze down your neck

Its appears to be a hat too big for me. It fits ok but it looks huge if you are a smaller person. Maybe it's a hat for bigger heads. It will be another hat tossed into the fail bin.

Like the fit and weight. Wish it came in light camo or pattern colors to hide stains and sweat marks better.

The Altitude sun hoodie is very light fabric, breathable, and comfortable. I've worn it once on trail with mild bushwhacking and have several pulls in the fabric and there pilling where my backpack straps rubbed against it. Clearly, it's not a rugged piece of clothing and it's rather delicate. It's probably better suited to alpine ridges than overgrown forest so we'll see how long it lasts since my hiking generally takes place in the forest. Overall, it was relatively inexpensive and I like the way it looks and fits

Great lightweight sun hoodie. The fit is definitely on the small side, so consider sizing up. I'm 5'11", 175, and usually wear a medium, but I wish I bought a large.

It feels great when wearing it. It is light weight and perfect for warmer weather.
The merino wool makes it very soft.
Retains no body odors.
Highly recommend.

I’ve had these out in trail 3 times now and am loving them! My previous socks were not working with my boots, creating blisters on my heel - especially when hiking uphill. Well, not these Darn Tough socks. No chaffing anywhere. They’re padded where I need it and not where I don’t. Also, they regulate temperature well - keeping my feet comfortable. Finally, I’ve been able to wear them on back-to-back hikes without a wash. That’s important for my multiple day trips coming up this season.

Would be cool to see a mail order catalog again, even though no one wants that.

Outdoor vitals usually has very great quality items, and I have a lot of products I have been very happy with.
This backpack however is very thin, and was not what I was expecting. It is not comfortable or durable which of course for the size this is to be expected. I can’t put a lot in this bag as there is no support. It would be fine for someone needing to carry a few snacks and something to drink and that’s honestly all I will probably use it for now if I ever use it.
Just disappointed but maybe I was expecting too much.

Appreciated getting this with my order, was nice to see more about each product.

I’m going to say it again: “this is the best light weight sun hoodie. Ideal for hot summer pursuits in the heat of the sun. Extremely durable for its weight. I own four it’s all I ever wear: winter base layer, summer do everything shirt. Nearly perfect hood.

You gave me a big wishlist that also has very helpful information too.
