Ultralight sleeping-done

I have many hammocks but the feel of this one is soft and no static when getting out of the hammock. The seams are smooth and very well stitched. The hammock is lighter than my 9’ hammocks from other brands and paired with my outdoor vitals bug net is an easy choice to pack in my day pack for those short overnight trips or those just in case times when you don’t have time to pack a shelter system.

Very compact which is what I wanted. Haven’t tried it yet. Taking it on my September backpacking trip.

Great hammock

I take this hammock on every hike
Mid way through the day I set it up, relax and read my book then pack up in less than 5 minutes and finish my hike
I really like how easy it is to hang, the Whoopi’s slings are incredible and I didn’t think the straps were long enough but they are (even on big trees)
OV includes everything you need to enjoy it
Like all of OV’s products, they’ve spent allot of time thinking item’s through, so I don’t have to.
Thank you for a great hammock

Great hammock system!

I have many of OV's products (mummy pod, bug net, underquilt, Loftek jacket, pillow), so I was comfortable with ordering their hammock system. Once this crazy winter subsides, I'll be anxious to try it out.

Fun!

Fun little rig. Simple to use and once you find your sweet spot you don’t want to get up. 100 times more comfortable than any tent.

Impressive for

Impressive product for what little we’re paying. I ordered the -15 degrees bag, hammock system and hammock bug net. Set up was easy to learn, the finger trap actually does work and adjusts like a charm with just a little squeeze of the fingertips. I love the black and charcoal color schemes. Handsome and easy to carry!

Sleep better then in my bed

Went on monthly camping trips for boyscouts 10 months that I had this hammock setup 2021, and I’m very happy with it. One was a 5 day high adventure hike and the Weight in size was perfect in the backpack.
When order it I was thinking I was just going to be saving on weight but I was sleeping better in the OV hammock too( I went with the 10’ long) old one was 9’ long not sure if that would be the main reason for better sleep or not.
If I could cut my bed in half to put my hammock up in my bedroom to sleep in every night. Lol

Great quality for a great price

This is a must on every camping and backpacking trip I go on. Ultralight and compact so it doesn’t take up a lot of space.
Only possible downside is the tree straps. They’re great for smaller trees, but don’t work on large trees, which we commonly have in the PNW. I’ve had to tie a rope and extend the straps which works, so it’s not a huge problem but just something to be mindful of. Would recommend to anyone.

Great quality and great price!

I am super excited to start using a hammock system and this hammock can’t be beat. It packs up so small, is extremely lightweight, and unbelievably easy to set up! One of my next investments will be a Mummypod, but until then I happy to use my OV insulated pad and sleeping bag. Thanks so much OV for the great products that I can afford and all the great tips, tricks, and stories! (Just can’t fully support the use of Smart Water bottles since they are single use plastic)

Can’t beat it for the price

I have purchased 2 complete sets with bug nets, I use these for bike packing trips. The size and ultra light weight work great for packing on my bike packing bike. Ive done some hammock camp outs with a hammock I paid 4x the amount and love it, but it’s too heavy and can’t pack it down to fit on my bike. With the Outdoor Vitals hammock I still get the same great sleep in a smaller package, I’m 6 foot tall, 190 lbs and have no problem sleeping comfortably in this hammock. Ive also tried the mummy pod and it’s a great addition to my kit. I have 2 bike packing bikes, the other ii use to get others interested without having to get the gear 1st. I’m sold on Outdoor Vitals gear and they are my go to guys for my gear

Awesome hammock can’t beat the price!

This is a Great hammock system! Super lightweight and easy set up. I have the 9 foot solo ( I am 5’5”) so room to spare! I have double hammocks but end up being “swallowed” up by them, meaning I have hammock wrapping around me at some point, because I end up in a straight lay at some point. Would love to see the bug net incorporated with side pulls ( hint hint). Pick the right size and enjoy!

Sleeps great and lite

I have used my new hammock 4 times now this winter, and love it. The whoppie slings are super easy to use and makes adjusting simple. I even got up once in the middle of the night and easily made a quick adjustment. Each time I use it I am able to fine tune it even more. I find it lays super flat even though I sleeping straight. I was even able to sleep somewhat on my side. The carabiners are so light, I thought they forgot to include them when I first opened the package. The overall weight is very light.

Only wish was the storage bag was slightly larger. It fits mind you, but you have to stuff it.

I would totally recommend to everyone.

I got the 10' Solo plus, I am 5-11 and weigh 190lb. and have plenty of room.

Double Take

I bought the ultralight 11' double hammock, and immediately set up in the backyard. I think the quality is great, and it set up easily. The only thing I would call out is that the stitching seemed a little sloppy and frayed in some spots. Unfortunately, since the outbreak of COVID-19 I haven't really been able to fully test it out. I have no doubt it will not disappoint. Keep up the good work guys.

Too small to be comfortable

I bought a Solo because the Solo Plus was out off stock. Customer service assured me that the Soll would be big enough for a 6’ 2” 215lbs person. It fits but not well and is more for a person under 6 feet and smaller shoulders. It’s a perfect fit for my 8 year old as most kids end up with a face full of fabric in most hammocks but not this one. I decided against the Solo Plus too, as it’s still a bit narrow.

Good not great. Double hammock

Let's start off that I do really like the hammock. I am not a hammock expert but loose threads hanging from the stitching upsets me at the price point. The suspension is awesome. The hammock is super comfortable I could lay diagonal which is great. Plenty of room in the stuff sack for everything. if it was a little bit bigger I think the bug net would fit. But for the cost I want perfect quality craftmanship. Overall I plan on using this hammock for time to come and compare it to a cottage vendor hammock made in the USA.

The best Ultra Light Hammock setup.

In 2018 I thru hiked the AT. I started the hike using a tent. In the middle of May i switch to this hammock because i wanted to save some weight. I picked up the hammock in Bland, VA and used it the rest of my north bound trek. During my hike, the stuff sack fell off and i have a few holes in the hammock. Everything worked great. I did also use the bug net and tarp.

Awesome Hammock!!

I was looking for a simple to use hammock to try without breaking the bank. I bought just the hammock for backpacking day trips where I hike and spend the day in the woods. The set up and take down was so simple it only took me a few minutes. I love it and highly recommend it as nice and lightweight. I got it on sale and extra Christmas discount. What a great deal!!!! Thank you Outdoor Vitals for an outstanding product!!!!

I finally got a good night's sleep!

I've been trying to like hammock camping for the past few years, and never had a good night's sleep out in one before. Until I got the Outdoor Vitals Solo Plus. Let's be real, it's not rocket science. The size just works great for me, 5'11 and @145 lbs. I never cared for the "diagonal lay" thing mentioned with most hammocks. This hammock and suspension system weighs the same as my old basic "three letter named" double hammock alone. And packs much smaller. I also use it with the OV insulated pad, and 15 degree Stormloft Quilt (and pillow). I wasn't planning on having an entire "OV" setup. But its looking like I will anyway. Great gear for a more serious "weekend warrior."

Very compact

I have a great night sleep on this but I put a pillow under my knee for comfort. Very light very small and would highly recommend.

Best hammock ever!!

My buddy gave me this hammock last year and I absolutely love it. I live close to Mt. Rainier and do a lot of hike in backcountry camping and not only is it quick and easy to set up but saves me tons of valuable pack space and weight, and surprisingly it's also one of the most comfortable things I've ever slept in!! I have a metal rod thats screwed to my knee cap and ankle and most days the arthritis causes such unbearable pain that I cant sit/lay still even long enough to even sleep. Then I realized there's something about laying in my hammock that supports me better, takes the pressure off my legs or whatever it may be, that makes it virtually pain free to lay down in it and pass right out and the way it wraps around me keeps me from falling out while tossing and turning all night(which I do no matter what). Just need to buy the mosquito net and I'll be in heaven in the woods!! Just wanted to say thank you for an amazing product and I'll be recommending you to everyone I know..

Best hammock for the money!

I have been using an ENO double nest for years as much as I love hammock camping I always wished it could be just a little more comfortable. So I picked up an OV 11' hammock system and man what an improvement the suspension system and Hammock if far better than what I had and lighter. For what you will pay for a double nest and atlas straps do yoyr self a faver and buy the OV hammok system.

11’ Hammock

I have been using 9’6” hammocks for last couple of years.
The 11’ Outdoor Vital’s hammock is significantly more comfortable to sleep in.
Light weight as most gathered hammocks are these days. Well built. Quality materials. I’d definitely recommend..

If it fits me, it should fit anyone!

Just got my hammock in the mail. Had to go test it. Super lite weight, and I was a little worried. I am 6'5" 250. I was braced for landing on my but! It held strong, and when I laid down, I fit comfortably. Perfect camp chair, or backup sleep system. Nice job OV.
